UCAS ‘Inspiring Choices and Progression to HE’ Conference

UCAS ‘Inspiring Choices and Progression to HE’ Conference

Gateshead, 29 November 2017

UCAS will be delivering their conference for teachers and advisers in the North East this autumn at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead. This is a great opportunity for teachers and advisers in the region to access an exciting and informative event for those advising students on making choices, progression routes, and applying to higher education.

UCAS describes the event as: “Providing information on the progression options available, alongside insight from higher education providers, this one-day event will equip you with the information you need to inspire your students’ choices.”

Teachers and advisers who attend the event will:

  • Get up-to-date on UCAS changes and developments.
  • Hear from a wide range of experienced professionals from UCAS, higher education providers, and key organisations supporting progression.
  • Gather practical information on progression options, to take back to your students.
  • Share experiences and best practice with colleagues from schools and colleges.
  • Attend a choice of interactive, practical breakout sessions.

For more information about the event, who should attend, costs, and how to book please visit

(Schools who are working with the National Collaborative Outreach Programme should contact their Project Co-ordinator contact for further information).

Please note: as UCAS are delivering an event for teachers and advisers being held in the region in the autumn, the annual Higher Education Advisers’ and Teachers’ Conference will be postponed until later in the academic year.
