NERAP are introducing a new branch of outreach activity in 2021 to support Post-16 care-experienced students.

This programme has many different sessions that aim to engage, inform and inspire students in their educational pathways.

It provides bespoke support for care-experienced students currently in further education, guiding them through all areas of higher education. For a full list of our sessions, please view the brochure below.

What does this programme aim to do?

  • Encourage their potential
  • Consider individual needs
  • Provide specific, up-to-date support
  • Build confidence and resilience
  • Overcome challenges and misconceptions
  • Provide study skills to aid educational progression

Post-16 provision will be introduced using virtual delivery, hosted on the NERAP website. Each student will have access to their own profile in which they can track their progress. They will also receive awards and badges to symbolise their achievements, also having the ability to log the transferable skills they gain throughout.

There will be three sessions taking place through April to June 2021, click on each for further information:

Session 1: Pathways into Higher Education

Session 2: Student Life

Session 3: Transitioning from Further Education to Higher Education

Check out our events page for more information on each session and to keep up-to-date with the most current developments in the world of higher education to always keep you in the loop. Registration is now open.

Don’t forget that we also have our live chat function displayed on the website to answer any questions you may have directly.

PLEASE NOTE; this programme is only available for care-experienced young people in Further Education, or previous Choices Together participants.
