Join the University of Sunderland and the National Council of Women in celebrating all things female at their online event for International Women’s Day (IWD) on the 8th of March from 1:15pm till 2:15pm.

International Women’s Day is an annual global celebration of the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. It is a day to focus on how far women have come but also a day where we can collectively focus on the work that still needs to be undertaken.

The theme of this years IWD is #EmbraceEquality; panels will be discussing their individual experiences, followed by a Q&A session where pupils and attendees alike will be able to put forward their experiences and ask questions to the panel. If you would like to get on board at any point, please email pre16activities@sunderland.ac.uk to book places for yourself and your pupils! Help us celebrate women of all different backgrounds this International Women’s Day!
