You-NE Cares is back!
w/c Monday 27th July 2020
The North East Raising Aspiration Partnership is committed to it’s work with Young Carers, and even in these different times, we’re excited to launch You-NE Cares Online 2020!
A young carer is someone under 18 who helps look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol. Research has identified that as many as 2 pupils in every class could be a young carer.
You-NE Cares is an opportunity for young people who have caring responsibilities to come online with us and find out what it’s like to be a student at a university in the North East. The Partnership offers this opportunity to all Young Carers in the region and does not specify entry requirements – we welcome students from all backgrounds.
As we’re unable to run our usual Residential this year, all activities will be online. These activities will be released over the course of three days, week commencing Monday 27th July. This Programme is completely free of charge, and each session will be delivered directly to your email inbox.
We will introduce what life is like as a student, and journey through the whole application process. There’ll be an outline of student finance, budgeting, and even a chance to start your own business! We’ll showcase the entries on our website, so be creative!
